All guests travelling via catamaran to Kingfisher Bay Resort are advise to arrive at the Urangan Boat Harbour Terminal 30 minutes prior to departure time for check-in.

This place must have been brilliant back in the day but now I believe they have major staffing issues....We had nothing but trouble the whole time we were there from bad food broken showers, being "hit on" buy drunk staff, having to listen to drunk staff use terrible language on the ferry trip over, being over billed. It seamed nothing could be done correctly. we couldn't even wonder over to the bakery to buy a cake without waiting a good 10 minutes for rude staff members to finish gossiping out the back and serve us. Don't get me wrong I don't mind waiting, I'm not a snobby twat who expects things to be done quick smart, but I can honestly say that I could not relax the whole time as I was waiting for the next stuff up. here is a quick list of problems we encountered during our short stay:

Fraser Island lies off the Queensland coast, a four-hour drive north of the capital of Brisbane.
Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas Airlines run daily direct flights to the Fraser Coast/Hervey Bay from Brisbane and Sydney with connections to all other ports as well as daily coach and train transfers from Brisbane.
Kingfisher Bay Resort is a 45-minute ferry ride from Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay. Coach transfers are available from all transport terminals in Hervey Bay to Urangan Boat Harbour.
Daily Catamaran timetable:
Ex Hervey Bay: 8.45am, 12.00noon, 4.00pm, 7.00pm
Ex Kingfisher: 7.40am, 10.30am, 2.00pm, 5.00pm
A vehicle barge departs daily from River Heads south of Hervey Bay

Ex River Heads: 7.15am, 11.00am, 2.30pm
Ex Kingfisher: 8.30am, 1.30pm, 4.00pm

The one bedroom standard room features spa (on request), disabled facilities (on request), air-conditioning, TV, telephone, private balcony, tea and coffee facilities, ironing equipment, hair dryer and private deck with bush or lake views.
Bedding configuration is 1 Queen bed and 1 King Single bed - Maximum capacity is 3 people.
Conventional vehicles can be parked free of charge in the open air car park at the Urangan Boat Harbour Terminal, or for an additional charge in the adjacent secure car park facility.
Four wheel drive parking is available free of charge within the resort grounds.
